Christina Sandera, the longtime girlfriend of Clint Eastwood, has died.
She was 61.
“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” Eastwood said in a statement.
No cause of death has been reported.
The 94-year-old Eastwood and Sandera reportedly met while she worked as a hostess at his Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant. Hollywood Reported reported they began dating in 2014.
The site said Eastwood has been married twice before, and also had a handful of other long relationships.
Eastwood’s official X account, formerly Twitter, also announced Sandera’s death and fans responded with love and prayers.
“So sorry 61 is young (praying emojis),” one person responded.
“Incredibly sorry to hear this, Clint,” another wrote. “Praying for you and the family.”
“So sorry for you loss,” another wrote. “Prayers ascending.”
“Very sudden and sad news,” another wrote. “My sincere condolences to Mr. Eastwood, Christina’s family. A journey we all take but unfortunately way too soon. Mr. Eastwood has lost so many friends, colleagues along his path. I trust everyone is holding up as best they can.”
