The Ceará Military Fire Department, via TV Verdes Mares, confirmed the tragic incident. What was meant to be a short, routine trip from Várzea Alegre to Juazeiro do Norte, typically taking around an hour, turned into a devastating event.

The family was en route for a surgery young Miguel was scheduled to undergo. What began as a hopeful journey for healing ended in unimaginable sorrow, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

At around 7 a.m., the family’s car veered off the road and crashed into a stream near Sítio Piripiri. The water, about five meters deep, significantly hampered rescue efforts.

Despite immediate response, the depth and conditions made recovery nearly impossible. All three family members died at the scene, compounding the emotional toll of an already tragic situation.
