Fox News host Sean Hannity said during a segment that Vice President Kamala Harris is most guilty of covering for President Joe Biden during their nearly four-year term as his mental health and acuity declined.
The segment featured Dr. Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician and now GOP congressman from Texas, who knew Biden well while serving as then-President Barack Obama’s personal doctor, as well as longtime journalist Charlie Hurt, the latter of whom blamed Harris directly for hiding Biden’s condition from the country for years.
“What about the big lie and the biggest liar in terms of covering up and lying about Joe’s cognitive state, Charlie Hurt, that would be Kamala Harris?” Hannity said to begin the segment.
“Yeah, it’s — you know, everything that we have sort of been through in the last couple of days with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is extraordinary under any circumstance, but it’s particularly extraordinary when you realize that these are the same people, the Biden administration and Kamala Harris, leading Democrats, the very Democrats who are trying to push Joe Biden out of office are the same people who have been lying to the American people for years now, and particularly over the past six or eight months when it’s clear that the president’s cognitive state has gotten even worse,” Hurt said.
“They have been lying to the people about who is running the country, the state of the president and his ability to make decisions for the country. So when you have what has happened in the last couple of days and, you know, obviously, there was that voice call that we heard from Joe Biden, but I don’t think that’s particularly reassuring,” he continued.
“You know, this is a huge moment in American history and the idea that the president of the United States does not come out and address the American people, there are no photographs, you read that statement, the statement sounds weird, it’s — there is a lot of questions, and when you know the track record of lying from these people, it makes it all the more troubling,” Hurt added.

John Morgan, a well-known Democratic fundraiser, declared he would not be raising money for Harris after Biden publicly backed her when he dropped out of the race on Sunday.
“It’s others turn now. The donors holding the 90 million can release those funds in the morning. It’s all yours. You can keep my million. And good luck,” Morgan, an Orlando-based attorney, wrote on X.
In a separate statement to The Hill, Morgan said that he believes Harris will lose in November to former President Donald Trump.
“She would not be my first choice,” Morgan said. “But it’s a done deal.”
Morgan stated that he preferred West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin (D) or Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (D) to be at the top of the ticket.
Morgan’s remarks may indicate a split among Democrats on Harris’s potential to be their leader.
Biden’s decision to exit the 2024 race on Sunday surprised Harris, according to CNN’s Jamie Gangel.
Even as late as Friday night, the president had made no secret of the fact that he planned to remain in the race. However, on Saturday, the president allegedly “changed his mind.”
“And the first thing I’m told that they’re looking at is logistics. They have a campaign to put together. She has to see, as Phil was talking about earlier, whether anyone’s going to challenge her,” Gangel reported.
“The other thing is simply, you know, how does she get her name on the ballot? Yes, she is part of this infrastructure with the campaign and the convention, but this is a whole new game,” Gangel added.
