Meghan Markle’s secret letter to King Charles revealed – his reply left the Duchess ‘miserable’

In the US, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have started a new life. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the royal family many years ago, but the fallout completely stunned them. In their shocking Oprah interview and Harry’s book Spare, Harry and Meghan made numerous charges and personal assaults against the royal family, including that they were questioning Archie’s skin tone before he was even born.

Without a doubt, the royals’ relationship with the Sussexes is at an all-time low. Harry was present during King Charles’ coronation, but other than that, nothing seems to have changed between him and William, for example. Amidst all of this, it is stated that Charles made every effort to support Meghan and that he was the sole royal to get in touch with her and Harry following the Oprah interview.

Sadly, Meghan disclosed that she had attempted suicide as a working royal, and Charles had written her a letter about it. Meghan wasn’t happy with the then-prince’s response, though, and rumors had it that it had a significant impact on a major choice.

Harry and Meghan’s history is extensive. After meeting at a tennis tournament in London in 2016, the pair started dating, and love quickly blossomed. However, a few of Meghan’s pals already thought she wouldn’t be content with him before they got married.

Meghan disclosed in a 2019 ITV interview that some of her friends had even advised her against marrying Harry due to the impending media attention she would be subjected to.

It’s challenging. Nobody, in my opinion, could comprehend that. To be truthful, I was ignorant of this, which makes it hard to understand, but when I first met Harry, my friends in the US were ecstatic because I was pleased, said Meghan.

Though they agreed that he was attractive, my British friends advised against it, claiming that “the British tabloids will destroy your life.” As an American, I really foolishly failed to understand. It’s not simple.

“I never thought this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair, and that’s the part that’s really hard to reconcile,” the Duchess continued. She went on, “I’ve been telling H—that’s what I call [Harry]—for a long time that simply surviving something is insufficient. That isn’t the purpose of existence. You must prosper and have happiness.

I made a sincere effort to embrace the stiff-upper-lip sensibility of the British. I truly did try, I swear. However, I believe that it does a lot of internal harm,” she continued.

Harry and Meghan were married in a lavish wedding at St. George’s Chapel on May 19, 2018.

It was evident at the time that Meghan had been accepted by the royal family. especially King Charles, who showed the Duchess such generosity during the event despite the fact that her father was not invited.

Meghan was escorted by King Charles down the aisle during her wedding.

Robert Hardman, a royal biographer, claims that Charles asked Meghan whether she wanted him to lead her down the aisle. Hardman stated in Queen of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II that Charles received a prompt response, but it wasn’t what he had anticipated.

Meghan actually caught the now-King off guard when she asked to meet her halfway down the aisle. She desired to enter the chapel alone and make her grand entrance.

The Prince of Wales offered to intervene, expressing his affection for his future daughter-in-law and stating that it would be a pleasure to accompany Meghan to the altar and up the aisle of St. George’s Chapel. One acquaintance said that he was not quite prepared for the response, which was, “Can we meet halfway?” Hardman penned.

“This demonstrated that the woman making the grand entrance wasn’t a blushing bride, but rather a self-assured and self-reliant individual.”

In the 2018 BBC documentary Prince, Son, and Heir, Harry mentioned his father’s willingness to accompany his wife on her wedding day. At first, Harry claimed to have approached his father about it, and Charles had given his approval right away.

I suppose he anticipated my request because he answered, “Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs and I’m here to support you,” as soon as I made it. Harry remembered.

Since he is our father, he will undoubtedly be there for us, so for him, that is a great chance to stand up and offer that support.

Regarding Archie’s skin tone, Meghan Markle revealed that a “unnamed royal” made a comment.

In the year after their departure, Harry and Meghan started verbally attacking the royal family—something few could have expected on their wedding day.

Meghan said she had been mistreated in the now-famous Oprah Winfrey interview. She even said that The Firm, as they refer to itself, had failed to assist her while she was having mental health issues.

In the meantime, the Duchess disclosed a number of startling details during her chat with Oprah, such as how a nameless royal made a remark regarding Archie’s skin tone.

During the months I was pregnant, roughly at this same period. Meghan Markle recounted, “So we have conversations and worries about how dark his skin might be when he’s born, in addition to the conversation that he won’t be given security or a title.”

Meghan believed she had to put up with a lot of sexism, racism, and abuse from the media as a working royal. Her mental state declined, although as previously said, she felt unsupported by the members of the royal family.

Meghan experienced enough of it to become suicidal.

“I just couldn’t see a way out of it. I used to sit awake at night thinking, “I don’t understand how all of this is being produced.” Again, I wasn’t noticing it, but when my mother or friends express it or phone me in tears, it’s almost worse because you feel like, “Meg, they’re not protecting you.” She said, “And I realized that everything was happening just because I was breathing.”

Given how much grief Harry has experienced, I was particularly embarrassed to have to confess it to him. I was also really embarrassed to express it at the moment. However, I was aware that I would act on it if I remained silent. I simply didn’t want to live any longer. And that was a very real, very obvious, and very scary notion all the time, Meghan continued.

Meghan did not witness the coronation of King Charles.

And I recall how he simply held me in his arms. I went to the facility and told them I had to go get some assistance. “I need to go somewhere because I’ve never felt this way before,” I exclaimed. I was informed that it wouldn’t be beneficial for the institution and that I couldn’t do it.

The Sussexes’ relationship with the royal family rapidly soured, and many members of The Firm were incensed by the accusations leveled against them.

According to reports, Princess Eugenie is the only royal who has gone to California to see Harry, Meghan, and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet. In the meantime, Harry and Meghan have only made the occasional trip back to the UK; the Duchess visited her former homeland just once, in 2022, for Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

One of the major themes that generated a lot of curiosity during King Charles’ coronation in Westminster Abbey last May was whether Harry and Meghan would attend or even be welcomed.

The king would ultimately determine whether or not the two would be welcomed, even though at that point they had lost the trust of the majority of the royal family.

Ultimately, Harry made the decision to travel to see his father’s coronation, while Meghan remained in the US to take care of Archie and Lilibet.

Perhaps it was not a huge surprise that Harry attended the coronation. But he departed for the airport and came back to his wife soon after the wedding. There are rumors that certain royals were relieved that Harry did not attend the coronation meal with them.

They even imagined that Harry and Meghan would sit far back in Westminster Abbey, far away from the other members of the family, had she shown up.

Meghan Markle wrote Charles a letter following her appearance on Oprah.

As previously stated, Meghan Markle remained in the US to care for their two children. But given that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is known to assist her with the children when things become hectic, is there another possible explanation for Meghan’s failure to accompany her husband to the UK?

There is, according to a story published in April of last year by The Telegraph. Meghan chose to write a letter to Prince Charles expressing her worries about unconscious bias following the Oprah interview.

Later, King Charles—who was then a prince—choosed to reply to Meghan in which he lamented the conflicts in the family, particularly those between Harry and Meghan and the other members of The Firm.

Charles was also thought to be the sole senior royal relative to get in touch with the Duchess following the Oprah interview.

New information surfaced in the Telegraph piece, including Meghan’s admission to Charles that her intention was to talk about unconscious bias rather than to charge the royal family with racism.

There were rumors that Meghan Markle wouldn’t be at the coronation. Rumor had it that the Duchess was upset that Charles had not addressed her worries over the unconscious bias in his letter, which was the actual reason she had shown there today.

A representative for Meghan Markle denied any coronation rumors.

Later on, a representative for Meghan refuted the rumors, calling them “ridiculous.”

The Duchess of Sussex is living her life in the here and now, unconcerned about letters she received two years ago about discussions she had four years prior. Anything to the contrary is untrue and utterly absurd. A representative for Meghan told People Magazine, “We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating.”

Harry made the decision to confront the issue of claimed racism among the royal family in an ITV interview in early 2023, telling the interviewer that they did not feel they were.

Harry answered, “No.” “Is that what the British press said? Has Meghan ever stated that “they’re racists”?

“There is a distinction to be made between racism and unconscious bias. When your unconscious prejudice is recognized or brought to your attention as an individual, as opposed to an institution, you have the chance to develop and learn from it. Otherwise, racism is categorized as unconscious bias, he continued.

How do you feel about this? Do you think Harry and Meghan went too far in their accusations, or do you think they have done the right thing? If you’re a fan of the royal family, please tell your friends and family about this story on Facebook!
