Former President Donald Trump was found liable for s**ual assault and defamation and order to pay author E. Jean Carroll $5 million, but a curious Facebook post by his accuser may assist his appeal.
On April 22, 2012 she posted on Facebook and said “Two many good TV shows on Sunday Night! My God! What do YOU watch?”
Other than spelling “too” incorrectly the post was not that interesting, until you read the comments and she shares what show she is a “massive fan” of.
In it she said “I’m a MASSIVE Apprentice fan.”
The thread is, as of this story, still live on Facebook and you can access it here and see her comments for yourself.
The possibility exists that she will delete the thread, or her comment, but then again she may not as she has already been caught and Donald Trump Jr. tweeted a screenshot of the comment.
Now legally we have to say that is possible to be a fan of a show that starred the person who said raped you and that post alone does not prove that she lied to the court and the media.
As a journalist I would love to ask her how she could be a fan of a show, and watched a man who she said had scarred her for life.
Color me skeptical and, judging by some of the comments are on her post there were many who were skeptical.
“Massive Apprentice Fan???? How are you a fan of the show who’s star is DJT? You know, the one you said (raped) you all those years ago??? I hope our amazing POTUS sues your ass for everything you have. You are a disgrace to women who are true victims of s**ual assault. Who put you up to this???” one person said three years ago.
“Massive Apprentice Fan!!!! Let’s see if you will delete your post!!!” another said.
“Why are you a fan of a guy that supposedly raped you?” another incredulous person queried.
“A “MASSIVE” Apprentice fan???????? You slapped the faces of true rape victims, you fraud!!!” one woman said.
“A MASSIVE APPRENTICE FAN??? WHY WOULD YOU BE A FAN OF A SHOW OF A MAN YOU WOULD YEARS LATER ACCUSE OF RAPE? YOU ARE A FRAUD AND I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU CAN LIVE WITH YOURSELF. YOU ARE HURTING ALL TRUE SURVIVORS. I HOPE HE SUES YOU BACK AND WINS!” another person said.
“I’ve never been raped but I don’t know if I would like the TV show hosted by my rapist,” another person said.
“Perfectly normal to be a HUGE fan of the “rapist that ruined your life”, right E. Jean Carroll? You vile, lying, money grubbing, lunatic slag!” another said.
And although there was no indication anywhere in her comment or thread we are guessing she may use that as an excuse, though she had not yet accused Trump of anything publicly at the time so we are not certain who would have got the sarcasm.
Former President Donald Trump announced he was planning new legal action following a jury’s findings on Tuesday regarding a s**xual assault and defamation lawsuit filed by writer E. Jean Carroll.
Trump told Fox News Digital that plans to appeal the civil case, adding that he has “absolutely no idea” who she is while ripping the federal verdict as a “disgrace” and “a continuation of the greatest political witch hunt in history.”
The federal jury in New York City ruled on Tuesday that Trump is liable for s**ual abuse and defamation charges, but not for rape. Trump has been ordered to pay $5 million.
Trump told Fox News Digital that he has “absolutely no idea who this woman is.”
“This verdict is a disgrace,” he told Fox News Digital. “It is a continuation of the greatest political witch hunt in history.” He added he “will appeal.”
“We’ll appeal. We got treated very badly by the Clinton-appointed judge,” Trump said. “And [Carroll] is a Clinton person, too.”
He noted further: “I have no idea who this woman is.”
