On their wedding night, the bride let out a terrified scream… (Part 1)

“Mom, I cannot remain this man’s wife for even a single second longer.”

Katherine’s voice shook as she lay curled on the bedroom floor, her expensive lace wedding gown crushed beneath her. Her breathing came in short, frantic bursts, and sheer terror filled her eyes. Grace had watched her son marry this young woman only hours earlier, yet now the bride looked as though she had survived something unspeakable.

Just an hour before, the Oakhaven Springs estate had been overflowing with music, laughter, and celebration. Guests had departed praising the beautiful ceremony, and Grace believed her son Caleb’s happiest day had finally arrived.

Caleb had always been a disciplined civil engineer, and when he introduced Katherine two years earlier—a modest, quiet girl who washed dishes and treated everyone with genuine warmth—Grace welcomed her like the daughter she never had.

That was why the blood-curdling scream shattered Grace’s heart.

It echoed through the silent estate from the newlyweds’ bedroom. Grace and her husband Robert rushed upstairs alongside her brother-in-law, pounding frantically on the locked door.

“Caleb! Katherine! Open this door right now!” Grace screamed.

When no answer came, Robert threw his body against the frame until the lock splintered open.

The room was in chaos. The bed remained untouched with silk petals across the sheets, but Katherine was pressed tightly against the far wall, trembling violently. Across the room, Caleb sat on the floor in an unbuttoned dress shirt, drenched in sweat, staring blankly into space.

Grace rushed to kneel beside the bride. “My dear, tell me what happened!”

“Do not come near me!” Katherine panicked. “Mom, I cannot be his wife… he absolutely hates me!”

Robert turned sharply to his son: “Caleb, what in God’s name did you do to her?!”

Caleb wiped his face with his sleeve, his shoulders shaking: “I just wanted to see if I could make her feel fear.”

As Grace stood frozen in horror, Caleb looked up with bloodshot eyes filled with a terrifying, icy rage: “She had to pay… she had to pay for what she did to Beatrice.”

In that horrifying instant, Grace realized the wedding she had spent years dreaming about was never a celebration—it was a meticulously planned act of revenge…
