President of the United States Donald Trump has reportedly lost 30lbs since 2022, with images showing him to have a slimmer figure than in the past

Donald Trump could be facing a serious health condition, according to an expert, after recent photos of the President emerged. Pictures of Trump taken in early April suggest the 78-year-old has slimmed down over the years.

The global focus has been on the President’s tariff trade war against countries across the globe, with his actions causing huge market volatility. But after snaps emerged of Trump walking to his Marine One helicopter, one doctor has been considering the businessman-turned-politician’s physical health rather than his economics.

It has been reported that the President has lost around 30lbs since 2022, cutting down on his beloved fast food and opting for a healthier diet. His slimmer physique has drawn praise from his fans, but Dr Daniel Atkinson raised concerns that the dramatic changes to his figure could be a sign of something more sinister.

The clinical lead for Treated.com told Irish Star that a man of Trump’s age could be at increased risk of a number of serious health conditions, including diabetes.

Dr Atkinson said: “For a hypothetical person, who has taken on the office of President of the United States for a second term, at the age of 80, there might be several factors that could affect their weight.

“A person who’s almost 80 with a busy schedule might be more at risk of certain conditions that can cause weight loss. Diabetes, for example, can cause weight changes when the condition is unmanaged. Blood sugar can be harder to manage as we get older, and insulin resistance can develop with age.”
