His wife, Emma Heming Willis, 47, shared during an ABC special that making the decision was “one of the hardest” of her life — but one she believes Bruce himself would have wanted for the sake of their daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.

“He’s surrounded by people who love him,” she said. “This was about giving him safety, comfort, and dignity — and giving the girls a chance to spend good, happy time with their dad.”
