Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie have been pulled out of their new UK school only after two days, reports say. The reason behind this decision, according to Hello Magazine!, are security issues such as “heavy traffic” and the long distance, among the rest.
After living in sunny California following their decision to step down from their royal duties some years ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to Harry’s homeland and are planning to stay there for an extended period of time, considering their children now attend a UK school.
While sources close to the couple claim there were no issues with the school itself, the couple’s security team was being challenged on the school run.
“One incident made it difficult for their vehicles to stay in convoy, which raised further concerns,” Royal editor Emily Nash of Hello! said.
A spokesperson for the couple clarified that the school bears no responsibility for the withdrawal, emphasizing that Archie and Lilibet were given exceptional care during their brief time there.
“The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements,” the rep noted.
Earlier in September, a royal insider told Page Six that parents at the school got a letter warning them that some incoming families might attract extra public and media interest. Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield noted that the note asked parents not to film or photograph other kids without permission or post any details about pupils and their families online. The school emphasized its commitment to keeping a safe, happy, and private environment for every student. Schofield added that Harry and Meghan had actually checked out more than one school before finalizing their choice.
Per Hello!, Archie and Lilibet already tried out a new school on Monday, September 14. “Prince Harry was spotted settling Lili into reception and the couple have been added to the parents’ WhatsApp groups,” reporter Emily Nash noted.
Meanwhile, Meghan gave a peek into their new routine in England on Sunday, sharing an Instagram Reel of the family fishing, biking, and walking through the woods while she splashed around in muddy puddles.
