All I did was paint my front door dark green, but my neighbor Linda immediately declared war on me, claiming the color wasn’t HOA-approved.
After an official HOA inspection confirmed my paint color was fully permitted, Linda was furious that her complaint failed.
The very next morning, deep scratches were carved into my fresh door paint, followed by overturned flowerpots and white paint poured across my porch.
Checking my doorbell camera, I saw a hooded figure carrying a paint can at 2:13 AM, coming directly from Linda’s driveway direction.
I immediately called the police, and an officer arrived to review the footage of the vandalism.
As we watched the recording, the officer suddenly leaned closer to the screen and asked me to pause and rewimnd the footage.
Behind the hooded figure, Linda’s garage door was briefly visible, sitting partially open.
The officer froze the image on a large object covered by a blue tarp inside her garage, with only one corner exposed.
His expression changed instantly, and he grabbed his radio to request immediate backup to Linda’s house.
When Linda stormed onto her porch screaming that I made everything up, officers showed her the frozen camera frame, causing her face to turn completely pale.
Three officers entered the garage while I watched from across the street, completely confused by what was happening.
Officer Delgado rushed back outside looking visibly shaken, completely unaware that my doorbell camera had just exposed a dark secret hidden for eleven months…
