Rob Reiner’s son Nick located 6 hours after parents bodies found

The deaths of Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, have prompted an outpouring of grief and widespread attention as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case.

According to multiple reports, the couple were found deceased at their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home. Reports indicate that the couple’s son, Nick Reiner, was not at the residence when the bodies were discovered. Authorities later located him elsewhere in Los Angeles, near the University of Southern California campus. He was taken into custody later that evening in connection with the investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that an arrest was made in the Exposition Park area near USC, though officials have emphasized that the inquiry is ongoing. Nick Reiner is currently being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles and is expected to appear in court, according to published reports. At this stage, all allegations remain unproven, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven otherwise in a court of law.

Sources cited by media outlets have also reported that the night before the deaths, Rob, Michele, and Nick Reiner attended a holiday gathering hosted by Conan O’Brien. Individuals who were reportedly present have claimed that a tense argument occurred between Rob and Nick during the event. These accounts have not been independently verified and have not been confirmed by authorities.

Nick Reiner has previously spoken publicly about his long struggles with addiction and periods of homelessness. In past interviews, he described cycling through rehabilitation programs from a young age and spending time living on the streets as his addiction worsened. Those challenges, according to earlier statements, created distance between him and his family over the years.

Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner married in 1989 and shared three children together: Jake, Nick, and Romy. Rob also had a daughter, Tracy, from his first marriage to Penny Marshall, whom Michele later adopted. The family has not released additional statements beyond earlier requests for privacy during this deeply difficult time.
