Valerie Bertinelli Is Saying Goodbye

Valerie Bertinelli Announces Final Season of Valerie’s Home Cooking

In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, Food Network star Valerie Bertinelli delivered bittersweet news to her fans

“I got some good news, and I got some bad news,” she began. “The good news is that tomorrow at 12 noon on Food Network, the 14th season of Valerie’s Home Cooking starts airing all-new episodes. The bad news is that it’s its final season. Food Network canceled us last summer, I have no idea why. And I didn’t say anything last summer because honestly, I was hoping they would change their mind. But they have not. So this is it, this is the final season.”

Fans React with Love and Disappointment

The announcement sparked an outpouring of emotion online. Hundreds of fans flooded the comments section, expressing both sadness and gratitude for the years of comfort and joy the show has brought into their kitchens.

Even fellow Food Network star Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, joined in, sharing her disappointment and support for Bertinelli.

More Than a Cooking Show

Since its debut, Valerie’s Home Cooking has been more than recipes — it’s been about family, laughter, and connection around the table. Fans say that what made the show special was Valerie’s warmth and her ability to make every viewer feel like a guest in her home.

A Reflection on Endings

Though the show’s cancellation feels like a loss, it also highlights the mark it has left. In Sufi wisdom, endings are never only endings — they are also reminders of what was shared and of what endures in memory and spirit.

As Valerie closes this chapter, the meals, the laughter, and the sense of home she created continue to live on in the hearts of those who cooked along with her. A show may end, but the love it fostered does not fade.
